If the Shoe Fits

Thirty-three poems tell the story of Cinderella from multiple perspectives, including those of the power-hungry stepmother and a rat who becomes a coachman: "No luck/I was stuck/in that clunky body." The prince is bored at the ball until he sees a girl with a radiant smile and asks her to dance. "Sir, my shoes say yes!" she replies. They dance until midnight, and then she flees, leaving only one glass slipper behind. Full-color art.
