Scorpions and scorplings abound in full-page photographs that reveal their gruesome eating and stinging habits and in full-spread diagrams detailing their body parts. The photos are clear enough to view sensitive hairs on the stingers’ bodies that are one of the features discussed in the fact-filled narrative. “Scorpion Facts” that appear stamped onto the pages briefly discuss, for instance, the most venomous types of the arachnid and how scorplings can regrow parts of their legs that they lose to injury. Rounding out this quality title is a “Digging Deeper” further-reading section that is more robust than many.
